For Love every Creature is formed
The GCS is delighted to collaborate with the Royal Academy of Music to present this special event with 14 performers including student musicians from the Academy and the Paris Conservatoire. This concert includes Purcell’s Fly Bold Rebellion, an early ode welcoming King Charles back to his Court at Whitehall, and Charpentier’s The Denial of St Peter, one of the most poignant and expressive scenas of the period.
The concert is directed by Elizabeth Kenny, one of Europe’s leading lute players. Liz is Director of Performance at the University of Oxford and Professor of Lute at the Royal Academy of Music.
