The Marian Consort was all set to perform in March 2020 until the country was locked down. We are delighted that they will open this season with a new programme of a cappella music from English Renaissance manuscript collections, including music by Byrd, Tallis, Clemens non Papa, Parsley and Giles. Hailed as ‘brilliant discoverers, and exponents, of rare repertoire’ (The Observer), The Marian Consort focuses on bringing to light and championing lesser-known composers and reinvigorating their music for today’s listeners.
